For pile holes, there is generally less need to worry about having a recent survey done. However, permits may be required if you are pouring concrete for a foundation or are planning on building a deck or similar structure. If you live in YEG, if the structure is less then 0.6 metres or 24 inches, you probably do not need a permit; however, we highly recommend you do your diligence before you dig any pilings for constructions.
